In a moment when the art world has come to a standstill, prioritizing digital viewing rooms and virtual shows, Gallery Nosco (UK-France), Galleria Anna Marra (Rome) and Montoro12 Gallery (Rome-Brussels) are pleased to announce the opening of a joint curatorial physical venue in Brussels called:

The 350 square meter exhibition space is located a stone’s throw away from Wiels Museum and in the vicinity of additional important galleries, private collection spaces and foundations. It will welcome three curators and their projects per year as a joint program; hosted with the incentive of supporting global younger and mid career artists achieve visibility through exhibitions and selected art fairs.

Gallery Nosco
Gallery Nosco was founded in London in 2007.The gallery ethos is about cultural exchanges, running residency programs to further dialogue and enrich the difference between conceptualism, practices, political environments and cultural history in a contemporary art society. The gallery operates its innovative programme of exhibitions and projects from Marseille – France, occasionally from London and off site locations while participating in major International Art Fairs. The Gallery has been focusing its program on Latin America over the last 10 years but also working with artists from the US, Europe and more recently Africa.

Galleria Anna Marra
Galleria Anna Marra was founded in Rome in 2013.The Gallery focuses on valorising emerging and middle career international talents, organising curated exhibitions both in its own spaces and in public institutions, while participating in major International Art Fairs. The Gallery’s intentions encompass maintaining both its attentive eye on Italian art, whose artists represent a high cultural level in the art scene, and offering a glimpse on the worldwide scenario, being always particularly attracted to research which was international in breadth. Thanks to cooperation agreements with galleries and curators based in New York, in 2016 the Gallery started focusing on American and Afro-American artists.

Montoro12 Gallery was founded in 2012 by Contemporary Art Historian Ursula Hawlitschka, Ph.D., and opened its first exhibition space in the historic Palazzo Montoro in the center of Rome in early 2013.The gallery represents international emerging and mid-career artists, promoting them through carefully curated exhibitions that demonstrate their innovative conceptual practices. Montoro12 has published numerous exhibition catalogues with scholarly texts, both for the gallery and for museum exhibitions. In order to further enhance their artists’ visibility, the gallery moved its expanded exhibition space to Brussels, a vibrant center for contemporary art, and opened an artist residency on the outskirts of Rome, which promotes cultural exchange in a beautiful setting.  While initially by invitation from the gallery, in 2021 the artist residency program will be curated by Brasilian curator Tiago de Abreu Pinto. From its inception, Montoro12 Gallery has collaborated with curators, critics, museums and other galleries, preparing a thought-provoking context for the continuing discourse of contemporary art. Many of its artists have participated in renowned exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale and have entered prestigious private and public collections. The gallery participates in numerous international art fairs and aims to evolve its efforts to “make art history.”
